Ever since we’ve been locked down in our houses, all we have done is whining. Of course, that’s majorly cause we are all social animals but hold on, don’t you think we are prioritizing socializing too much? We are scared to be left with our own company when that’s what we should be the most delighted in. To live your whole life one way and then suddenly being told to stay at home, sure is uncomfortable. But what good is ever achieved without a Lil’ uncomfort?

Here are 5 reasons why this time could be the best time for you:

1. Understand yourself

Remember when you were asked to talk about yourself in an interview and that’s when you realized, that you know absolutely nothing about your own self! We live inside of our bodies for decades and yet we fail at knowing ourselves. Now is when you have all the free time to sit and just think. You are not obligated to meet anybody or give any explanations. This time belongs to you. Notice your behavior and why you do what you do. Understand your emotions, the good, and the bad. Knowing oneself could be one of the best strengths that can help you at every nook in life.

2. A walk down your passion lane

The next-door story we always hear is about having to leave your passion because it wasn’t a practical decision to take it up as a career. We leave our passion and run after money. We get the money and regret not taking up the passion. Ironic, isn’t it? It takes a lot of guts to leave everything else aside for your passion. But that’s not the case right now; you can follow it without having to sacrifice anything. You have the time, get back at it; create your art as you work side by side.

3. Grow with it

All our lives, we have been running towards nothingness by working jobs we don’t like, pretending to be happy. This virus has brought the world at a standstill; we do not have to run anymore. Remember all those things that you always wanted to do and do them. Start investing in yourself and grow irrevocably.

4. Spending time with family

Now, I know we have all heard this one a lot. We do understand how important it is to spend time with the family. But it took us a pandemic to realize that we find it difficult to live with our close ones too. Strange that we’re so close and yet so far. This time might soon get over and you don’t know when you will get to spend enough time with them again. Do it while you have it.

5. Comfort

Lastly, we’ve always dreamt of being able to do everything at the comfort of our homes, especially our job. Now that we have it, why not embrace it? We’ll go back to the office lifestyle again, and we sure are gonna miss this. You have the comfort of doing anything you want without having to give any excuse. Enjoy it!

A pandemic doesn’t come so often and you’re lucky enough to be born at the same time as it occurred. Consider it a blessing and take the best of it before its gone…
