Also, I understand that it sucks. It's difficult to put the pieces together when the close ones do not wholeheartedly support what you love.

And talking about Medium, it doesn't matter what's Medium's stand. I mean, we have an entire community of people on here who actually care because they understand exactly what all of us are going through be it as a writer, reader, mother, father, success, failure etc.

I, for example, care that you responded to this story. It's one of the reasons that made my day better. You on the other hand would care that the writers can provide something of value to you. Likewise, even if Medium doesn't care about your work, your audience and other random people on the internet who read your work do - atleast some of them.
